Короткий огляд (реферат): У статті досліджено зміни чисельності та питомої ваги молдовського населення придунайських міст Південної Бессарабії впродовж першої половини XIX ст. На основі аналізу архівних документів, статистичних даних, матеріалів особового походження та наукових праць було визначено місце молдован в етносоціальній структурі міського населення Тучкова (Ізмаїла), Кілії та Рені, розглянуто процеси розселення молдован у придунайському регіоні, розкрито динаміку чисельності представників молдовського етносу в придунайських містах. Встановлено, що питома вага молдован в етносоціальній структурі населення придунайських міст не зменшувалася впродовж першої половини ХІХ ст., незважаючи на інтенсивну колонізацію Південної Бессарабії. Автор вказує на розбіжності в даних різних історичних джерел щодо чисельності молдовського населення, наголошуючи на перспективі подальшого дослідження етнодемографічних процесів у придунайському регіоні.
Опис: The change in the number and proportion of the Moldovan population in the Danube cities of Southern Bessarabia in the first half of the 19th century was investigated in the article. Based on the analysis of archival documents, statistical data, narrative materials and scientific works, the place of Moldovans in the ethnosocial structure of the urban population of Tuchkov (Izmail), Kiliya and Reni was determined. The number of the Moldovan ethnic group in the Danube cities in the first years after the region’s accession to the Russian Empire was revealed, as well as their economic and social status was described. The author characterized the features of the Moldovans migration to the territory of Southern Bessarabia during the first half of the 19th century and the processes of their resettlement in the Danube cities. Based on the data of the 8th and 9th Russian Empire censuses, the number of the Moldavian bourgeoisie in the Danube cities was determined. The article founds that the decline in the proportion of Moldovans in Southern Bessarabia, caused by the intensive colonization of the region in the first half of the 19th century, did not affect the Danube cities. At the same time, the article emphasizes that the dynamics of the Moldovan ethnic group had its own specifics in each of the cities. The author points to discrepancies in data on the number of Moldovan population in different historical sources. Therefore, it is necessary to further search and analyze the sources, which will clarify the movement of the Moldovan population of the Danube cities in the period under review.
