Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the state, problems and prospects of development of art local lore in Southern Bessarabia. The author proves that the regional art local lore as a branch of general local lore studies is being formed, and thanks to the successful implementation of the project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine «Regional literature and painting of ethnic groups of the Ukrainian Danube region as a means of forming a collective identity of local society» (2019-2021), provided in Izmail State University of Humanities, received a powerful impetus to its development. As modern local lore evolves towards the expansion of the cultural component and the actualization of art branches, the introduction of practical research results into the cultural development of the region has significant prospects. Scientific activity in this stream implements the mechanism of forming a positive image of Budzhak as a border region on the material of studying its spiritual and material values, represented by modern literature, easel painting and historical and cultural heritage. An effective image of the Ukrainian Danube region is a strategic resource for creating its investment attractiveness, moving away from the traditional status of a «transit region». The author presents information about the activities of the leading literary groups in the region, including: the Association of Writers of Bessarabia «Budzhak», the Izmail Literary Association, named by Mikhail Vasilyuk (Izmail), «Danube Wave» (Kiliya), «Bessarabian Lyre» (Kiliya), literary club «Dzherela» (Reni), poetic group «EcoulBugeacului» (Echo of Budzhak). The artistic activity in the South of the Odessa region (Budzhak) region is represented by the works of the leading trade union: Ismail Municipal Organization of National Union of Ukrainian Artists (IMO NUUA, 2008). They include not only Ismail masters, but also the artists from district centers (Artsiz, Kiliya, Bolgrad, Reni, etc.), which allow them to present their achievements at the regional level. The goal of the research is to study the cultural concepts of contemporary fine arts and crafts in Budzhak, with a focus on the motives of artistic understanding of the world. The leading aesthetic accents prevailing in the works of Budzhak artists are disclosed in the context of the main parameters of the functional structure of regional art as a system of forms of social organization, regulation and communication, knowledge, accumulation and translation of social experience. The research of cultural semantics of fine arts and crafts works within the limits of cultural anthropology reveals the idea of a person as a producer and consumer of culture in regional parameters. The study reveals the general and original features of Budzhak easel painting, comprehending new levels of artistic perception of social reality in the artworks. We consider the development of artistic local lore as a cultural phenomenon as an important component of the development of modern local lore of the Ukrainian Danube region. The structure and components of research focus on the cognitive environment of the local society, which is formed under the influence of art, as well as the principles of spiritual regulation of various spheres of human existence. Popularization of modern literature and fine arts of Budzhak, activation of the principles of successful intercultural dialogue in the region will promote aesthetic and patriotic education. The socio-cultural component of the conducted research in the field of art local lore has a direct access to cultural policy and socio-cultural construction of the state. Identification of unique historical and socio-cultural features of the Ukrainian Danube region, principles of intercultural communication of the peoples living here and the role of art in this process will serve as a basis for the development of recreational and tourist activities in the region, revival of its unique ethnocultural traditions, new jobs, successful interstate cooperation in the field of culture at the European level.
