The Prospects of the Volunteer Movement in the Izmail Region, in the Context of European Traditions

Abstract

Today volunteering as a form of social activity of citizens recognized the significant social phenomenon. Every year volunteering is becoming increasingly popular. For young people volunteering is a way of acquiring new knowledge, skills development and social activity, formation of moral values and manifestations of active citizenship. To date, the positive characteristics of volunteering consider the opportunity to acquire new professional quality, expand the circle of communication and to realize themselves in the social sphere. The purpose of writing the article is a brief analysis of the formation and development of the volunteer movement at the regional level, some facts of the volunteer movement in the context of European traditions
