Короткий огляд (реферат): The current study of the macroconcept WEDDING in the language of folklore fairy tales led us to the conclusions concerning the structuring of the wedding ritual. The aim of the hero’s quest and magical tests is to find a bride, that can be obtained by magic or force, or by defeating leader/totem of the contrary. The opposition NATIVE – FOREING is very important. Magical quest and choice of the marital partner are indispensable stages of the archaic matrimonial ritual. Magical helpers have an outstandingly important role – they help the hero. Theirt zoomorphic appearance indicates their correlation with theatrical elements of the wedding ceremony (ryadzheni, costumed in animal costumes). The time of wedding ceremony represent the sacral time that is contrary to everyday life time. Festive bakery conceptualized images of the helpers that could be revived
