dc.description	The article focuses on the peculiarities of teenager’s speech in foreign prose, deviations from literary speech. It also touches upon the problem of the main characters’ speech: in Holden Caulfield’s and Judy Abbot’s speech in the novels of J. Salinger «The Catcher in the Rye» and Jean Webster «Daddy-Long-Legs».Narrative in these novels is presented through teenager’s point o f view and is characterized by all kinds o f different variations including pronunciation rules of English. The present stage o f linguistic research is characterized by an increased interest towards the problem connected with the study ofpeculiarities o f teen-agers’ speech and its typical deviations in English prose. Despite the fact that the study of the problem was investigated by many scientists, the main types o f deviation from the norms o f literary language and standard deviation were not considered. The problems of deviations in child’s speech are still discussed by a lot o f influential scientists. The relevance of the chosen topic represents the description o f the characteristics o f teenagers’ speech and its standard deviations: phonetic, grammatical and syntactical used in the language o f the main characters. The use o f the typical deviations in teenagers’ speech plays an important role in literature. The aim of our article is to determine the sociolinguistic and stylistic peculiarities of the phonetic and grammatical deviations from the literary norm in the speech of the main characters. On the whole, the choice o f the vocabulary depends on the theme of the novel, type and gender of teen-agers, and the environment o f the characters, through whose point o f view the story is presented. The results o f the research can serve as a theoretical and practical basis for further study o f the peculiarities o f teenagers’ speech and its typical deviations. The prospects of investigation are to describe the peculiarities o f teenagers’ speech in other foreign literature (French, German, etc.).	uk_UA
