dc.description.abstract	Analysis of the motive “unsuccessful wedding” led the author to the next conclusions. The bulk of the Ukrainian ballad texts verbalize the concept of tragic UNCOMPLETED WEDDING, that is a result of ADULTARY of the one of a couple, or absence of the PARENTS’ BLESSING or unfavorable DOOM. In this respect ballad texts are contrasted with the fairy tales texts that verbalize COMPLETED WEDDING. Ballads’ texts contains several archaic ritual motives (riddles, selling, fight, judgment etc.). To charm a lad a girl can use MAGICAL REMEDY, but, according to the AMBILENCE OF THE SACRAL in the archaic mythological and ritual outlook, these remedy can be venemous. Some ballad texts are isomorphic with the fairy tales texts and verbalize the victory of a HERO over a ANTI-HERO and COMPLETED WEDDING	uk_UA
