dc.description	Currently the study of cultural aspects of life in separate regions in historical retrospect is gaining considerable importance. The analysis of cultural and artistic life of the Ukrainian Danube region as a kind of artistic phenomenon needs special attention. An important place in this area was taken by theatrical groups of the city of Izmail. Theatrical institutions despite their provinciality performed important social functions, namely, contributed to the cultural development of the population, formed aesthetic views and instilled moral values. The events of theatrical life in the Izmail region have not been sufficiently covered in the historical literature, there is only fragmentary and unsystematized information in journalistic essays and reference, encyclopedic publications which determines the relevance of this article. The article considers the activities of two regional state theatres that operated in Izmail in 1946-1960: the Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre and the Taras Shevchenko Russian Drama Theatre, based on the materials from the Izmail Regional Arts Department that are stored in the local archives. The composition of creative groups and the repertoire plan of theatrical troupes are described, some production and financial documents and difficulties that influenced the work of theatres are analyzed. The author comes to the conclusion that the theatrical life in the city of Izmail in the postwar period was quite active despite the difficult social and economic situation in the country. The repertoire of the theatres as one of the levers of ideological influence on citizens was determined by the highest bodies of Soviet power. Creative groups staged performances based on the works of Ukrainian, Russian, Soviet and foreign playwrights, actively toured in the region and beyond. Prospects for further research on theatrical life in the region are outlined.	uk_UA
dc.description.abstract	В статті розглянуто діяльність двох обласних державних театрів, що працювали в місті Ізмаїл у 1946 – 1960-ті роки: музично-драматичного українського театру й російського драматичного театру імені Т. Г. Шевченка за матеріалами Ізмаїльського обласного відділу мистецтв, які зберігаються у місцевому архіві. Описано склад творчих колективів і репертуарний план театральних труп, проаналізовано деякі виробничо-фінансові документи та труднощі, які впливали на роботу театрів. Визначено, що театральне життя в місті Ізмаїл у післявоєнний період, незважаючи на складну соціально-економічну ситуацію в країні, було досить активним. Репертуар театрів як один із важелів ідеологічного впливу на громадян визначався вищими органами радянської влади. Творчі колективи здійснювали постановки за творами українських, російських, радянських й зарубіжних драматургів, активно гастролювали в області та за її межами. Окреслено перспективи подальших досліджень театрального життя в регіоні.	uk_UA
