The article analyzes the evolution of linguistic directions from the point of view of the theory of
scientific paradigms, traces the laws of the history of changes in the linguistic methods of studying
the wedding. The language of the wedding action is isomorphic to the ritual, and its stratification to
different semantic layers and etymological layers reflects the complex process of diachronic
formation of a complex whole. Such chronological heterogeneity and heterogeneity are inherent in
any complex sign system ‒ language, music, painting, material culture, and in this plating of timeconsuming
elements, is the originality, uniqueness of combinations of cultural and linguistic
material. However, this is not a mechanical clutch, but a lively, effective, harmonious symbiosis of
words, music, actions, objects, human experiences and expectations. The wedding in a traditional
society is intended to ensure a stable continuation of the family, while the participants themselves
have established themselves in their cultural and linguistic identity through the adherence to
traditions. The linguistic and behavioral roles of the participants in the wedding drama give a
stereotyped idea of the most general language roles in language etiquette and everyday life. A
wedding is a narrative that actualizes cosmogonic scenes both at the verbal and on the promotional
level.
