dc.description	The article is devoted to the issues of using arts to form the basis of multicultural education for senior preschoolers. The concepts of ethnic and aesthetic education of preschool children are analyzed, their importance for patriotic education of the future citizen of the state is proved. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the method of using works by Bessarabian artists to activate certain aspects of ethnic education, which is one of the key principles of multicultural education. The method of forming ethno-cultural competence as a component of multicultural education of preschool children is currently absent. Among the possible ways of forming the foundations of multicultural education of preschool children, we find the following: organization of excursions to local lore, art museums in the region; conducting theatrical cultural and educational events related to the celebration of various holidays of the national calendar of different ethnic groups of the Ukrainian Danube region; introduction into the educational process of kindergarten the program of ethno-cultural education of preschool children; Parents' consultations on ethno-cultural education, education of ethnic tolerance, seminars for educators to familiarize them with the applied arts of national groups of the Ukrainian Danube region and so on. We share the view of scholars that «multiculturalism not only becomes the basis of the functioning of local traditions; the collective memory of the regional society is enriched by the mythopoetic connection with the ancestral homeland of different peoples». The refore, we see the prospects for further scientific research in the substantiation of the model, as a pedagogical system, in the development of the first principles of multicultural competence in senior preschoolers.	uk_UA
dc.description.abstract	Стаття присвячена питанням використання засобів мистецтва для формування основ багатокультурної освіти старших дошкільників. Аналізуються поняття етнічного та естетичного виховання дітей дошкільного віку, доводиться їх важливість для патріотичного виховання майбутнього громадянина держави. Особлива увага приділена аналізу методики використання творів бессарабських художників для активізації певних аспектів етнічного виховання, що є однією з ключових засад багатокультурної освіти.	uk_UA
